Darcy brings a diverse background and passion for the property industry. She started her career in tourism, working at Thomas Cook with a dream to be cabin crew and has also spent long summers in Cyprus planning weddings and events. Darcy then transitioned her focus to property. Her first role in property was for Bridgfords - Countrywide where she spent 3.5 years as a Senior Negotiator valuing homes. She then spent a further year working in new business and client relations at Martin & Co., developing her property knowledge before joining us at Rockett Home Rentals.
Outside of work Darcy enjoys travelling around Europe and is looking forward to her next holiday after she has completed renovating her own home where she is picking up hands-on skills in carpentry, tiling, plastering, and more along the way!
A self confessed foodie Darcy likes trying new restaurants, listening to live music, and boxing. She also loves caring for her two Miniature Dachshunds, Stanley 4 and Maggie who is 6 months. As Darcy puts it, her life revolves around her dogs!
In her role as Senior Lettings Negotiator, Darcy will use her well-rounded background to value homes, market properties, negotiate contracts, and match landlords with ideal tenants. She loves meeting new people through her work and hearing their unique stories. At just 19 she became a landlord herself and has rented properties in the past so she can relate to everyone.
The most challenging aspects Darcy sees with the lettings market is that “you always have to know your stuff”. You have to be prepared to continually grow your knowledge and self development, but she is more than up for that challenge.
Over the next 5 – 10 years Darcy sees the lettings industry evolving as more landlords utilise agents like Rockett Home Rentals for their superior market knowledge and service. Her experience and insights will help us stay ahead of trends and provide exemplary service to all clients.
