Hanley has often been referred to as 'the city' and with more attractions and restaurants popping up, it's easier than ever to see why.
This weekend Bill and Hayley decided to check out the new restaurant quarter in Hanley 'The Hive' (more information can be found here: http://intu.co.uk/potteries/event-archive/the-hive-at-intu-potteries-1) and here is what Bill had to say:
"All I can say is what a revelation!!! I expected just an extension corridor with some restaurants and a cinema at the end but it was much, much more. After parking the car and walking into what used to be an access to The Potteries shopping centre, I was confronted with the most amazing development Hanley has ever seen. There is an eye catching boulevard of restaurants with well thought out open space which we will definitely we going back to when the snow clears and it's a bit warmer! The choice of restaurants is fantastic with Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Nandos and Chiquitos amongst others. We couldn’t believe how popular the development was and the manager at Chiquitos was having to tell arriving customers that it was a 90 minute wait for a table. (We chanced it and were seated within half an hour, so do persevere). Every single restaurant and bar was jumping and full to the brim. This is a great sign that Stoke-on-Trent is starting to build places that people want to go to and attract investment. If you haven’t checked it out, I would implore you to do so as you won’t be disappointed."
